What he says about pop music, mutatis mutandis, can also be applied to literature reviews. They're mostly not reviews at all, since they avoid criticism, becoming rather fuzzy tepid sales promotions (all using the same 6 words of praise, check them out), and saying nothing substantive. Depressing.
