Yes, I think the age difference is completely insignificant and not problematic. My parents are six years apart, lol.

Yes, even Chrissy's records that Max reads in the show, confirm that she was set to graduate in '86. And Nancy's novel, written by an actual writer for the serie (who also wrote FOI), confirms that Chrissy and Jason were part of the Class of '86 too. But haters always ignore what doesn't suit them.
