Mhm. That and, I figure, there’s just kind of more of an acceptance of violence as par for the course in video games because, well, how else do you “lose?” Even in Extremely Goofy Skateboarding you’re trying not to eat pavement, which requires that possibility to exist.

I was watchin a video of Yakuza 0 combat (modded such that Majima is Susie and whoever he was fighting was Gerson) and was like damn. he’s not moving like that in waters unknown (waters unknown?!)

my understanding is that the backlash to Director’s Cut is largely overblown, yeah? like they made that guy survive the car bomb which is just unquestionably bad but everything else added was fine, yeah?
that said it doesn’t seem to add *that* much for someone who already has 0 on PC…
