If we are in a 2nd Gilded Age, it’s a sad copy of the original. These days, it’s more “fools” gold than gold. The billionaires in the actual Gilded age were large $ benefactors to Education, the arts & Scientific Research. Unlike today’s self aggrandizing narcissists that hoard the top 1% of wealth.
