I’ve been indoors a lot this week - quite rainy. So I am beginning to tackle decluttering. It is daunting. I need to be the words on this rock (seen outside in 2020). Each thing I recycle/donate IS a #smallbeauty

Some dahlias that we purchased from someone who has had to give up gardening (from her garden), which we planted too late, just bloomed. We had no idea what they would look like.

#SmallBeautiesHour. Went to an exhibit about Indian chintz at the Royal BC Museum. Beautiful material and clothing and interesting history. Its role in the development of the Industrial Revolution and the growth of slavery in North America because of greater demand for cotton.

I breathed the freshest air I have in forever on Vancouver Island last week. Probably the sea air, kelp, and abundance of trees. Here is fun sparkling on the water in Genoa Bay.

I am not fond of heights, so it was a victory for me last week to cross the Kinsol Trestle - once a railway bridge, now a walking trail, on Vancouver Island. Could NOT be the workman checking it for soundness and safety.

Bit late for #smallbeautieshour today. I’m getting out and about again. So the day lilies in our garden are starting to bloom. And a neighbour down the street has this beautiful lavender - it was full of bees.
