Once the Most Probable Number (MPN) bioassay with leeks 🌱 was complete, it was time to clarify and stain the roots. This step allowed us to observe the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal structures 🔬 and estimate the number of infective propagules 🦠 in the agricultural soils we studied.

Once the Most Probable Number (MPN) bioassay with leeks 🌱 was complete, it was time to clarify and stain the roots. This step allowed us to observe the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal structures 🔬 and estimate the number of infective propagules 🦠 in the agricultural soils we studied.
This summer a bioassay was carried out to determine the number of infective propagules 🦠 of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi present in agricultural soils of the Llanada Alavesa.
Leeks were used as host plants 🌱, using the most probable number method.

Last week I was at the University of Salamanca with my thesis supervisors Dr. Lacuesta and Dr. Sarrionandia. There we visited our group collaborator Dr. García-Baquero to discuss our analysis of mycorrhizal communities in the soils of Alava💭
