Even with meds, I'm working twice as hard* as most people to appear merely disorganised.

*I have no idea how much harder really.

I was diagnosed last year, and while meds helped, what they really did for me was created space where I could learn better EF skills and adapt what I've always done to work better.

I've always been a very organised person, and even better now, but you'd never guess it...

I didn't know about James C. Scott. Against the Grain looks like something I should read

“Pills don’t build skills”, as they say. But somehow, giving kids ADHD meds but not teaching them the executive functioning skills they lack…is reason to blame the pills?

You could either see this as Hispanic folks are finally being seen as “Americans” in the public perception, or video captures enough white allies being brutalised alongside the “other folks” that the message sinks in.

Black clergy were abused outside Broadview too, but I’ve never seen video.

After 10 years, if Tesla hasn't figured out how to torque lugnuts on one of their signature models, assume any Model X on the highway might lose a wheel and slam into you at any moment. Exercise more caution than passing an 18 wheeler on the right sight.

And here I was wondering if I could stand for election on a tourist visa. Oh well, scratch that off the list.

I never expected Republicans to jettison "free exercise of religion" *for Christians* in their devotion to Trumpism.

And not just any Christians - these are evangelicals and Catholics, for the most part.

Hopefully not her grandpa - I wouldn't wish a predatory grandparent on anyone.

Hour long? All I could find was that it was at 9:30. And grad students speak at conferences all the time - mostly grad students (in my experience, which isn't econ)

I thought the "rear view" also pointed to a student or postdoc - someone who won't interact with him once they graduate.
