Moral of the story: you really, really, REALLY shouldn't be using LLMs to answer factual questions.
Until LLMs can reason from first principles effectively, they cannot create anything novel. Humans create things by combining brute force permutationing with experience and instinct. A large number of discoveries came from reframing a result or fact. LLMs can't do that because they has no frame.

A lot of people are suggesting blind trusts. But a blind trust bankrupted Jimmy Carter before he left the white House. Let them invest in managed funds and/or indexes. But blind trusts would need some kind of neutral oversight to ensure the Carter problem doesn't happen again

Right? I had to make them sign acknowledgements of same to avoid prosecution myself! They still didn't care that they admitted to a crime on paper!

The absolute lack of attention to any detail that delays a fake launch milestone is where this is coming from. Out of the 57 companies I've personally consulted with over the past 7 years, 60+% of them had at least one endpoint that was open and serving private data. Only 5% of them wanted fix it.
