The solution to SBMM's biggest flaw is pretty mundane: just acknowledge and reward players for being good at the game.
But MMR systems, like Elo and TrueSkill, aren't explainable or transparent enough to be shown to players, even indirectly.
(IVK Skill is just built different.)
