Once upon a time I was Mr. MAGFest. Then I did a chiptune NIN tribute.

Now I live in a van down by a river, still write chiptunes, run Bloop Museum.

Someday I'll finish a synthesizer I'm building and ditch meat.

Quick update: We hit 200K today, and I'm retaining a lawyer and contacting the real estate broker.

THANK YOU to all who have supported this journey. I know a fair number of our supporters are here.
I need a hail mary or whatever.

This fundraiser — so I can operate a computer & game museum in a building all its own — is 2/3 from being done.

I can start moving when it hits 80%. Deadline: 1mo.

Not asking any one person for 40 grand, but 80 people with $500? That's doable.

Please spread this.
We've crossed another milestone - $160K!

Thank you to everyone donating to our building campaign - we can put an offer in on the one we've selected in just $40K.

Help us go even further: givebutter.com/bloopholiday

It can be hard to delineate me from my projects, and even my projects from one another. I typed this thing up and I think it might do an okay job: www.patreon.com/posts/140227...

You know you're busy moving a computer museum when other people have to remind you that it's #BandcampFriday

Anyway, inversephase.bandcamp.com and hopefully I'll get your order out soon if it's physical, please be patient as I drive back and forth and pack/unpack my things

@havocosiris.bsky.social hey, it hits a little weird that you're making people-forward posts that, for example, suggest that AI determining care is bad, but then you have an AI header. My vote is for a new header from one of your fans

We're so busy packing trucks, moving, and unpacking, that we don't have time for an email update quite yet - but here's a shot of the most recent truck where we loaded up a bunch of fixtures from a closed-down Joann. Hope this will hold you over!

Me: "Maybe one of those '2 GB if you do a security checkup' will come along..."

Gmail: "Nope, clean your space or give us money. It's at 92%."

Me: Cleans google space. "Okay, happy now?"

Missing my #demoscene friends from @evoke.eu and also @2600.com @hope.net friends.... but there's more to do in moving @bloopmuseum.bsky.social so it'll have to be next year. I'll definitely be at #VCFMW. Come see the #museum in a few months!

Pouring some bubbles and bobbles out for Pete Clarke tonight. Thanks for the tunes.
Sad to hear the news that videogame musician Pete Clarke passed away today after a long illness. He worked for Ocean Software and Software Creations in Manchester during the early/mid 80s and created music for the BBC Micro and C64. RIP Pete.

Yo! Tomorrow's #BandcampFriday. I don't have anything new, but if there's a thing you don't have from @bandcamp.com of mine already, it'd mean a lot if you try something new! I'll be spending Friday moving part of @bloopmuseum.bsky.social to its new spot, where I have more room to work on new music.

Did you know that over one third of Bloop's collection is boxless?

This means two things:
- We will definitely take your loose game or hardware item.
- We will definitely take your empty box or orphaned manual.

Let us know if you have either, and we'll reunite it. We are variant-aware!

Writers: I am imploring you to move off of Substack. I know it seems daunting, but I did it and it's really not hard. You can be moved, subscribers, content, and all, in the space of a weekend. If you're worried about it hit me up and I can walk you through the process.

Recent events in the payment processing world make it time for another reminder that the US Bank Secrecy Act forcibly deputizes banks into a law enforcement role. So don't tell your financial institution anything you wouldn't tell the cops.

Call for help: Bloop needs to make a #forklift materialize at our #Pittsburgh building sometime mid-late next week. We'll need it three times, but probably only for a few hours each time.

Anyone got one we can borrow before we call and rent one instead?

Bloop's longest-standing exhibit in our current space, the video game exhibit, is getting packed up for our move to Pittsburgh, where it will be expanded! Here's a look at it in all its glory 👾
