Funny thing is, one of the worst books I’ve ever read was by John Irving: The Hotel New Hampshire. I hate that I even have to mention it. It’s a truly horrible read.

I did read The Red Tent many many years ago and my memory of it was I wish I didn’t spend time reading it.

The author is a Jewish male. It’s a story set in the 11th century. Women had little to no autonomy until fairly recently so this story is not unusual. It’s honest in its portrayals. And it’s still a great read!

I agree but overall the book was great. And people repeat generalizations and stereotypes all the time. I pay no attention because I know it’s gen./stereo. And the author is Jewish.

My puppy discovered snow the other day. She bit it and it disappeared in her mouth. So frustrating! so she did about a 100 laps around the yard, occasionally biting it.
