Dragons are a big pull for readers. If it was only symbolic, you'd need to make it very clear in the book blurb or be prepared for some harsh disappointment.

Ray Bradbury comes to mind, but I could be wrong and just not searched the depths of the internet.

That was the most I laughed at something so gory. Stevens could read the phone book onscreen and I'd be riveted.

Excited for you! I've been getting into audiobooks more when my commute to work changed. It is fascinating to hear how the actor's performance adds to the words, especially for books I'd previously read.
