At the No Business With ICE rally in Torrance, a protestor confronted a tree farmer about his Home Depot contract helping ICE raids. Despite having migrant employees and protesting at detention centers himself, the farmer said Home Depot wasn’t complicit and blamed ICE directly.

Zana Wilkins volunteers with Gobble Gobble Give for 8 years and for the last 4, she brought it to the Consolidated Board of Realtists. Every Thanksgiving, they hit the streets with hot meals for the homeless. Zana talked about why she merged her passion for fair housing with feeding her community.

Chris spoke on ICE targeting innocent people and tearing families apart. He told us about his friend whose dad was taken by ICE.. they had been waiting outside his home in Santa Ana. He says what’s happening isn’t “law enforcement,” it’s hard working families getting hunted and torn apart

Last Saturday, artist Megumi Nakazawa showcased her work at the Harriet Tubman Center in LA. Her projects “Faces of Mass Incarceration” and “Faces of Palestine” put faces to the those we’re not supposed to see.

A protestor flashed his light at two officers on the 2nd floor watching the crowd. Those on the frontline say this is where DHS will monitor, record, and single people out. Regulars know.. but a lot of the ppl who only come out for the big nights don’t realize how they’re being watched

Dan is a government teacher of 20+ years. He says everyone within our nation’s borders deserves human rights.. and while it’s easy for most people to keep their heads in the sand, LA has to come together to overcome what’s happening in our own city.

Protestors at the detention center say they suspect DHS has the ability to do more than just track their location. They report DHS officers calling their phones, finding their social medias, and even recording calls. Google DHS stingray to learn more about what DHS and ICE use against civilians
