I have to say relistening to the Frankenstein OST by Desplat, the Body Building Waltz is gorgeous and such an inspired choice ... dance macabre par excellence

a wee video... rendered in Marmoset Toolbag, textures in Substance Painter, sculpted in Zbrush, groom in Houdini - the goal was to learn basic Houdini grooming, mistakes were made, tears were shed

done messing around with this one.... I am really impressed with how well Marmoset handles the groom ... I didn't restrain myself when exporting from Houdini... just gave it all I wanted and it was a breeze

I do need to chill with that chin clumping cause she's turning into a lion... also I think I'm breaking all the possible things in Houdini grooming pipeline doing this .. at least I got my uvs back lol
November 3, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Juuust for the fun of it I started working on the textures and groom for this little bust... just a beginning, color and a bit of fuzz and for some reason my uvs on groom are vanisheeeed, thank you to me for deciding to go with Houdini🧐

I just finished book 7 of the Malazan Book of the Fallen... tough one and so long... currently reading these... I'm realizing I need to find something cheerful and short and just chill out a bit lol

ooh tried importing some groom curves random puff ball into Marmoset 5 and I'm well impressed with the rendering ... yes took me a while😜

it is kind of funny that you can still roll in and steal some crown jewels from a museum in the 21st century.... Makes me want to rewatch this masterpiece :D

What movie do you consider “perfect”
September 22, 2025 at 3:02 PM
omg... the Cohen Tragedy of Macbeth is amazing... that's how it's done... perfection. The acting, the mise en scene... oh I do love it when actors actually understand what they're saying and not mumbling it out... dayum this made me happy 😍

Walter J. Phillips 1884 - 1963... English born, Canadian illustrator... just found out about him and I love his woodblock prints - clearly inspired by the Japanese ones but with a western twist
