My kids are piggy-backing on subscriptions for Netflix, Youtube, Apple TV and Spotify because it's just better value to have a family subscription than individual subs. I leech off one of the kid's Creative cloud subscription.

Ours does that. All the stairs are triangular from a central newel post but extend to straight walls. We call it "the stairs".

I'm a strong advocate of only packing as much as you can carry in a suitcase without wheels. Also don't have a dishwasher.

I guess if they had a kitchen big enough to have a table then they might well have had a phone. But being the same as Keir Starmer and undoubtedly poorer (my dad was a bin man not a toolmaker), we had a phone by the mid-70s.
