I think the movie does a good job of emphasizing that it's just not a skill he would ever thrive at, rather than one he will always fail at. Once he's in the waiter position, even in a high stress scenario, his confidence and capability visibly increases!! And I kinda love that.

I think a lot of ppl stay in these spaces too because they're pretty active members, so it's hard to let go of someone who engages. But again in my experience the minute you do, other people fill in the gap really fast, and you realize the bad person was keeping your good people away!!

I did not get this impression when I watched but now I'm afraid when season 2 comes out I'm not gonna be able to un-hear it
