I really like Coral Island. It’s basically Stardew with the gameplay but has a unique enough art style, setting, cultural inspiration & “plot” that sets it apart. The characters feel way more fleshed out too.

The story was just such nonsense and the characters weren't very memorable. The paradigms shift system totally carried the enjoyment for me.

There has been such a weird rise of people in the past few years suddenly talking about FF13 being good. The FF subreddit used to have constant posts defending it. I remember liking it for the battle system and thinking it got too much backlash at the time, but I don't think I'd ever call it good.

Echoes of Wisdom is a genuine good time all around. Engage is dogshit for story but some of the best FE combat to date. 3 Hopes is really fun but you gotta be a big 3 Houses fan to appreciate it, IMHO. Tokyo Mirage Sessions is a REALLY fun SMT style JRPG with a mostly good but very silly story.

if you were a tank, and not on aether, then it makes sense. tanks always have the longest wait times for new alliance raids because there are only three slots. but even on aether i remember in Endwalker waiting an hour for the new raid with a group of friends because one of them was a tank lol.
