Why are girls the best, actually?

I ate good last night 🧡 I feel very blessed that I can have my family and my husband’s family all in the same room together and it’s considered a good time.

Mentioned this to a coworker and she was like “is that… a good thing?”

Yes, yes it is 🧡

Although I look deeply unimpressed in this photo (it was 5:30 am, I was doing my best impression of being awake), I’ve just completed five weeks at the gym. I barely noticed the time passing. I just feel good.

Also, my physiotherapist has been praising my progress with my leg, so that’s been good🥹

Also just realized I haven’t posted in 2 months. Not much to report, but I did knock something off my bucket list in that time:

Going back to work tomorrow after a mini vacation for my birthday. I have had such a good week and I genuinely feel like I’m in a good place mentally right now. I spent time with my family and friends, and I slept SO MUCH. Ready for Staff Appreciation Week at the office this week for more dopamine 😝

Wedding season is now over for me, so that means it’s time for reading 📚

The Magical Readathon by @bookroast.bsky.social is this month. One of my prompts was to use a random country generator to pick a book. I got N. Korea, and I haven’t read N. Korean books yet, so I’m excited to dive into this.

On that note, how did 2025 shape up for me? Not my worst year on record, that’s for sure (I think that record is held by both 2016 and 2019 with 5 books read…)

My goal was 60 books in 2024 and I only read 18. Frankly, it was more than I thought I would get last year.

My haul from 30% hardcover day at Indigo. I don’t usually shop at Indigo anymore for reasons, but their Boxing Day sales are always lit.
