During #COP30 in Belém, I had the chance to visit the CITinova II project, led by UNEP with GEF support, that is delivering more sustainable cities.

At #COP30, Queen Mary is using her voice to promote conservation and restoration efforts that support ambitious #ClimateAction.

Regions and cities are key players in enabling #ClimateAction on the ground to build resilience, deliver cheaper, cleaner energy and contribute to global climate goals.

#COP30 is about implementation.

We've made #ParisAgreement progress, but not enough as @unep.org #EmissionsGap data shows

That does not mean we give up.

It means we become more determined.

In Belém UNEP is supporting proven solutions on:
🌍 Methane
🌎 Sustainable cooling
🌏 Buildings & construction

Ahead of #COP30 beginning, @unep.org data is clear: we're off track to deliver the #ParisAgreement

But we cannot despair. To the contrary, we must become even more determined.

Proven solutions exist. Now is the time for countries to go all in & invest in their future with ambitious #ClimateAction

Every person on this planet is living with the impacts of climate change: wildfires, heatwaves, desertification, floods, rising costs and more.

#COP30, hosted by Brazil in Belém, will help accelerate #ClimateAction, solutions and ambition.
