Some pics from my 70s childhood.

Love them. I'm in the UK and seek them out wherever I go. I know a bit about them now so I think less of fairy tales than when I was young. A castle can be anything from a fortified barracks to an administrative building, to an stately home, to an expensive folly, depending when & where it was built

I can show you. My brother & colleagues at the library convinced me to try it. I was going through a messy break-up with my first serious girlfriend which accounts for the paucity of detail. I'd also blame it for lambasting the kids having Halloween fun, but that'd be a lie. I was just less tolerant

Not sure I realised before how much Padmé is Catherine, Anakin Heathcliff.

"My heart is beating, hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me. What can I do? I will do anything you ask."

Yeah, re-watching the 9, the prequels for maybe just the 2nd or 3rd time.

Before YT I indulged in the lost art of bootleg tape trading, running a Geocities website in the late 90s, spending hours ^ hours tape-to-tape dubbing & queuing at the Post Office. Here's a link to the trading pages on my archived site The Upstairs Room & some tapes

Yeah - that option, with the credences I've added.

Part of the official goth colour palette, as originally defined by the early '80s record sleeves of The Sisters of Mercy.

After bravely revisiting the too-affecting Songs of A Lost World, I've moved onto the Mixes and have been pleasantly surprised at my improved reaction to some of them. A little remove makes a difference. Has to be said though, it's completely dance dominated, which is a genre I like, so I'm biased.

As I said, the release is called BDC (NVCM) but the track on the release is called BDC (Extended 12" Dance Version).

Track list and photos of the sleeve reverse and label is from your discogs links (and confirmed as i have a copy)

Just looked at the MUD track listing, and yeah, they did use the NVNM moniker from the sleeve there. I think that was the name of the original 12" release as a whole, like the 7" on the charts wasn't just BDC but BDC (NVNM). But the mix itself was definitely as I said. The change is a history edit

This should of course be a slightly silly parody, but what's really shocking is that large numbers of otherwise quite intelligent people have literally fallen for this level of mistake. And largely because of ignorance of - or bad - philosophy of mind. Incredible.

The Head on The Door at 40, sitting pretty much in the middle of my fave Cure LPs:

In the meantime here's some new edits from the woefully inadequate selection of what I do have of 1987-1991. Info in the Alt Text.

Got this large box of photos to go through at some point. If I leave them out it's more likely to happen. What I really want to find is the Holy Grail - forgotten about photos from the late 80s. But I'm not holding my breath.
