St Clements church in Cambridge — I don't know the history of letter carving in detail but it seems that this serif style was copied across at least two counties 🙂 — @poorfrankraw.co.uk, I definitely saw these letters on your photos from Derbyshire. Was there a sample book?

Oh, a finding from many years ago — some of my fonts, and names of my TypeMedia course classmates, set in those fonts. Amalta here has the name which I changed later. Poster was meant for an exhibition
