Too weird to live, too old to die young.
I mean from Trump’s perspective why wouldn’t he?
The Democrats have shown they’ll just cave under pressure and go on tv afterwards to say “the Republicans own this”.
While at the gym I glanced at Fox and they’re already calling it the “Schumer Shutdown”.

Like do you seriously think the party that turned a blind eye to this when they were in power will actually dismantle ICE if they win in 2028?
Or are they going to “reform” ICE, increase their budget, and leave it even stronger for a potential Republican administration like Biden & Obama did

You’re just proving my point.
1. Trump inherited ICE as it is today.
2. If Biden or Obama actually cared about this, they would have gutted ICE like Trump is doing to the Ed. Department to circumvent Congress.
3. I can walk and chew gum at the same time, i.e. I cab criticize both Trump & Biden

Obama increased ICE’s budget several times over and significantly increased their foothold in the US. Biden’s admin increased their budget each year. Democrats in the senate said or did nothing during either administration.
You can’t beat ICE while blindly supporting Democrats

Have you tried logging off and touching grass?
I mean this legitimately. Like maybe just talk to people in real life, play a game, watch a movie , etc. Being online all the time is not good for mental health.

Honestly if just the filibuster was abolished, that would be an improvement. It really only benefits Republicans.
Dems should’ve held out long enough for Trump to threaten all the Republicans if they don’t nuke the filibuster

Technically yes, but representatives are up for election every 2 years, so at least any Dems who flaked would fave a primary challenger almost immediately.

Nah, it’s definitely 2 distinct election losses.
He was soundly rejected in the Dem primary, and registered as an independent to lose a second time instead of realizing NYC voters don’t want him.

We are on the side of truth. Mamdani ran on a platform of that poltics and policy can and should make people’s lives better. The same things Pete says made the NJ & Virginia races successful.
The NYC had significantly more national coverage, so leaving that out was a purposeful choice.

Are you fucking dense?
I’m talking about Pete congratulating New Jersey and Virginia, while purposefully leaving out NYC.
Mamdani’s whole campaign was about how politics and policy should be helping to make people’s lives better.

I can see Trump pulling an Andrew Jackson and tell the Court “enforce your ruling then”.

Sounds like he should have waited then. Considering how much national coverage the NYC mayoral race was receiving.
IDK why you’re trying to cover for Pete that hard.

I’m not inferring, the polls for New Jersey and Virginia had yet to close at the time of his tweet, so he didn’t have true confirmation of their victories either.

It was pretty clear Cuomo was going to lose, so not including the NYC mayoral race in that tweet was a purposeful choice on his part.
