Hunter has more heat than Gunther for this and this was probably Cena’s decision on how to go out. That’s why I ultimately feel like shit was a miss.

I wanted the guy that retired Cena to actually get something from it. Gunther feels like a made guy at this point and yes, Bron is challenging for gold. I feel like a better story would’ve been him destroying Cena vs. Cena going out with a whimper with the same sleeper that Jey made Gunther tap to.

Yeah, that’s the benefit of hindsight. I really don’t see this doing as much for Gunther as it would’ve done for Bron even with him having the family name. It really feel like when Roman beat Taker for loss 2 at Mania to me.
