Your weekly to-dos 1. Email your Members of Congress to demand investigations into Hegseth’s murderous strikes in the Caribbean and Pacific. Despite increased scrutiny, Pete Hegseth and the Trump regime continue to carry out lethal strikes on small vessels without any legal rationale. More background on these extrajudicial killings of over 80 people can be found below. 2. Pledge to get involved in our largest primary campaign ever. We aren’t going to defeat fascism with a politics-as-usual approach. So we’re gearing up for a massive primary program to put forward a new wave of candidates who can win at the ballot box and in the battle to defend democracy. We need door knockers, phonebankers, and savvy online communicators on our side. Sign up, and we’ll be in touch when our program officially launches. Until then, you can learn more about our plans here. 3. Answer our one-question survey to help track the impact of the Cancel Spotify campaign. Indivisible and allies have been calling for a boycott of Spotify until they stop running ads recruiting for ICE. We can’t very well count on the platform to tell us how many people have canceled their accounts in protest of its participation in Trump’s brutal deportation machine, so we really need feedback from our movement. You can learn more about the campaign here and help spread the message using this Spotify Wrapped-themed toolkit. 4. We’re stronger when we organize together. Join a local Indivisible group today. It’s resolution season, and if one of your goals for the new year is becoming more engaged in your community and doing more to save democracy, it might be time to connect with an Indivisible group near you. It’s end-of-year fundraising season, and while we try to keep our fundraising asks to a minimum, we do have about $615,000 to raise before the end of the year to prepare for midterms and support Indivisible groups on the front lines of the fight to save our democracy. Your weekly to-dos 1. This is the final day of the We Ain’t Buying It economic black out: Avoid shopping at Target, Amazon, and Home Depot this Cyber Monday. Today closes out the busiest shopping week of the year, and we’re going to continue demonstrating the consumer power of the pro-democracy majority in this country by withholding our dollars from companies that are complicit in Trump’s authoritarian power grabs. (If you're having trouble with that link, try this one.) 2. Experienced phonebankers needed: Let’s get out the vote for Aftyn Behn and flip TN-07 blue! Tonight is our final phonebank for Aftyn Behn, a former Indivisible organizer who could score a major upset in Tennessee's deep red seventh district. A win in tomorrow’s election would narrow the GOP House majority to a sliver and send a powerful message to the Republican Party about how politically toxic Trump’s agenda has become. Note: Our phonebanks are normally open to all and start with a training for new phonebankers. Tonight we have a limited number of households remaining to be contacted, so we’re skipping the training and suggesting that only experienced phonebankers join (we wouldn’t want anyone to go through the entire training and then discover we’ve run out of numbers!). 3. Take your activism to the next level by joining a local Indivisible group. It’s resolution season, and if one of your goals for the new year is becoming more engaged in your community and doing more to save democracy, it might be time to connect with an Indivisible group near you. 4. Support immigrants under attack this Giving Tuesday. We normally don’t include fundraising asks in our weekly to-dos, but with the Trump regime escalating its attacks on immigrant communities, we want to encourage this movement to support the Defending Our Neighbors Fund. The fund helps individuals and families caught up in our increasingly draconian immigration system get the legal assistance they deserve

This weekend, perhaps the busiest shopping period of the year, we’re asking you not to support three corporations complicit in Trump’s authoritarian power-grab. Let’s show cowardly corporate leaders that there’s more to lose from complicity than from noncompliance. 2. Spread the word about We Ain’t Buying It online with our handy social media toolkit. Use our pre-made graphics and customizable sample posts to quickly let your friends and followers know where not to shop this week. Let’s get the word out far and wide so we can maximize our impact. 3. If you have Democratic senator(s), urge them to call on Chuck Schumer to step down as minority leader. Even on the heels of a historically successful election and the largest protest in US history, Chuck Schumer’s caucus caved in the shutdown fight. Senate Dems need bold new leadership to fight the Trump regime, and that starts by making Schumer step aside. 4. Sign up to call voters and get out votes for Aftyn Behn -- a former Indivisible running to flip a red House seat! Our next chance to stomp the regime at the ballot box is in Tennessee, where Aftyn Behn can flip a deep-red Trump district in a special election. You can call voters from anywhere. All you need is a phone and computer, and we offer live training before the shift. P.S. Withholding support from corporations enabling the Trump regime is a powerful way to fight authoritarianism. Supporting the organizations who DO fight back hard -- and who organize others to fight -- is just as important. If you’re as pissed as I am and this all resonates with you, sign up to be part of this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party today. 2. If you’ve got a Democratic Representative in the House, call them today and tell them not to be a party to this surrender -- or we’ll remember it next year. Yes, Republicans can likely pass this through the House without Democratic votes, but Dems don’t need to make it easier for them or put their names on a bill that betrays their constituents. 3. If you’re raring to do even more, you can also chip in to help us get this primary project off the ground. We’re going to be counting on grassroots supporters to fund this, but there will be many, many ways to get involved, so only give if you can. We get the party we demand, and we intend to demand one that fights -- a Democratic Party with a spine.
