FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Statement from Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) made the following statement today regarding the possibility of redrawing Indiana’s congressional maps mid-cycle: STATEHOUSE (Nov. 14, 2025) – “Over the last several months, Senate Republicans have given very serious and thoughtful consideration to the concept of redrawing our state’s congressional maps. Today, I’m announcing there are not enough votes to move that idea forward, and the Senate will not reconvene in December.”

Protest at the statehouse postponed. 🚨🚨🚨 Update 10/29 - Indiana’s Republican State Senators STILL don’t have the votes they need to move into special session officially. While Governor Braun is trying to strong arm lawmakers into rigging the maps for Donald Trump, enough of them are pushing back that they will NOT convene on Monday as previously announced. ⭐️ MADVoters is postponing our rally, and we will be speaking at Indiana Black Legislative Caucus’ Statehouse event on Monday from 10-12 instead. Here are some more actionables to keep up the pressure - it’s working! 1. Complete MADVoters’ online action form to tell your lawmakers NO CHEATERS IN DEMOCRACY at MADVoters.org/no-cheaters. 2. Call your lawmakers’ office and ask them to schedule a listening session so your community has the chance to give their input on early redistricting. If you are joining us for the No Kings Protest this Saturday at the Indiana Statehouse, here is a quick checklist of things to remember.
Know before you go checklist Checklist: water, stay hydrated. Closed toed comfortable shoes for walking and standing. Lawn chair or blanket for brakes. Dress for the weather, think layers. Tell someone your location, safety first. Bring a friend, community is power. Charge your phone for safety and updates. Leave pets at home for their comfort and yours except for trained service animals.

Just a few things to remember as we head into the upcoming No Kings event this weekend 10/18 at the Indiana Statehouse from 11-2 pm.
Don’t sit down in a protest. Non-violence works best when it’s strategic. It’s harder to get up quickly, especially for those with mobility issues. Tear gas sinks people on the ground are at higher risk. Staying mobile helps peace marshals de-escalate. Stand, link, arms, walk, slow slowly, document silently. Consider these alternatives. Protest safety we don’t think there will be any trouble at the No Kings rally, but your safety is the top priority. In the event of a security issue or if you need assistance, look for safety marshals wearing Daglow vests or armbands. They’re there to help you. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 first. In the event of a conflict, stay calm, stay, nonviolent, stay with a buddy.
