Sneak peek: "The hare revealed itself to you as it always does: a shadow at the edge of the lantern’s range, tall and still in that particularly active way it has. As you focused your hazy eyes on it, you got a better look at the soft glow of its night-dark fur, the small silver fires of its eyes."

I'm pushing most of this week's blog writing to Thursday because I had errands to run yesterday, but my creative writing today includes a wee short story that my paid members will get to read in the new year. Do y'all want a sneak peek? (Of course you do)

There, I have finished writing the post I was supposed to write this morning. That officially gets me all scheduled up to the end of the year! I shall now take a moment to bask in my productivity.

I could have written my post before lunch, but instead I got distracted setting up my end-of-month newsletter and spent an hour talking to my brother. I guess that dictates my afternoon, then...

We're back to normal writing scheduling this week; yesterday I worked on my creative writing WIP, and today I'm going to work on another upcoming post. Just the one, probably, since I've got a healthy backlog and we have someone coming to look at our munted garage door this afternoon.

Today's work is going to start with a bit of editing, instead of writing, but once that's done I can spend the rest of the afternoon writing a new short story (which will go onto the blog).

Last weekend was a very busy Labour Day weekend in our house, so I've had to squish up my schedule and move my writing all to this end of the week, instead of my usual Tuesday blog focus. I've got a lot of different tasks that need to be done, but they're not big ones.

Good news! I figured out a solution and had PLENTY of battery for my second writing sesh of the day, resulting in a second post finished. Winning!

My laptop has needed some updating over the weekend, which has resulted in my battery only lasting half as long for today's pre-lunch writing stint. Annoying, but I still managed to get my whole post written (albeit from the sofa instead of my desk). Hopefully I can monitor things better this […]

Missed my usual blog-writing day earlier this week due to the fatigue, but the nice thing about a flexible schedule is that I can make up for it today after a bit of rest! On the plan is a reflection about support networks and a bit of fun with Early Modern English... ;)

Back into it today, trying to get that Tennessee Williams post finished off before I pop out for an appointment this afternoon. Keeping busy this week!

It's another writing day today! I have a Grammar Talk to write up for next month, and I'm hoping to get started on a new Stars of the Stage post for the paid subs about Tennessee Williams.
It'll be good to develop more of a sense of how long it takes me to get things done with my new schedule.

Taking some time today to work on a creative writing project that I haven't touched since... May. Yikes, I have a lot of refamiliarising myself to do!
