I think it’s glaringly obvious I take a lot of inspiration from Disco Elysium, I even stole Iljax’s echo from its skills, but I think the most evocative thing I’ve taken from it was the Finger on the Eject Button. It’s such a perfect metaphor for such a morbid curiosity I just. I adore it.

Iljax got caught in possession of stolen goods and had the first two digits of his pinky cut off ontop of his sentence, but by sheer happenstance wound up receiving it as an ironic gift from the men he was working for back then. He knows it’s his because it’s got two little freckles next to the nail
