Cartoon fox. Sometimes rides things. Usually confusing. Mostly harmless. Green witch. Likes his scotch.

SCIENCE!
Just saw Heavy Metal for the first time. I must say the animation is splended. Also, boobies.

Went to the cinema Friday for the first time in 5 years just to see Zootopia 2. It was... o.k. Didn't care for the story that much.

Visited this with a friend earlier this week. Trains. Also old things. Also old town. Also beer was $0.25 in the 1900's. www.harveyhousemuseum.org

1. Sees interesting-looking group on Facebook and wonders, "Why haven't I joined this group before?"
2. Joins group
3. Facebook feed gets inundated with 20+ mediocre group posts/day
4. "Oh yeah, this is probably why I'm not part of this group."
5. Leaves group
6. Repeat 5 years later

Used some contact cement to fix part of the trim on my office desk so I guess I'm done working for the day--that or be asphyxiated.

Growing up I couldn't stand Yakky Doodle's voice (still can't) and would change the channel when he came on, hence I forgot all about Fibber Fox. Now that I have MeTvToons though and can watch those cartoons, I really like Fibber and his really good one-liners! Groucho Marx if he were a fox.

Meloxicam is definitely my new friend for arthritis pain. Works 10x better than ibuprofen.

Now that I pay my insurance company directly it's clear they've never taken direct payments before and are ill-equipped for it. First they send me an email with a missing link, then when I get the link there is no tie to any invoice. Next week I get an invoice in the mail but no mailback envelope!

My 2025 was just. ACL surgery dominated the first half of the year, a feline friend dominated the middle half, and once that was all over I had time to reflect on my own solitude in the last half. Did try to attend a fur con but missed out on the 5-minute hotel room window.

Just received a Tilde Pro noise-cancelling headset from my boss for Christmas. Kind-of for work but also for when I am traveling or just when I need to hear/listen to music in a public place.

You know you're getting old when you think about putting more interesting things in your bathroom to keep you busy while you're in there.

Ugh. I'm 3 episodes in to the Watership Down series and ugh. I guess when I was 31 I let a lot of things slide, but re-watching this at 51... it's repugnant what it does to the original story. I'll watch the whole lot, but then I'm afraid this whole DVD set will be tossed (unless someone wants it?)

Decided to re-read Watership Down as it's been over 15 years since last I read it, never realizing this year is the 20th anniversary of me visiting the actual Watership Down with @dairishgoat.bsky.social. I'm purposefully taking my time with it and am 3/4 of the way through.

Selling all my stinker stocks this month. It will show as a 5-figure loss on my taxes which is actually a good thing for me. Still, wish those companies would have gotten their shit together and not tanked.

Aaaand 8 hours later, Christmas day menudo is ready!

I asked for a rock tumbler for Christmas to replace my old one. Received two. Smallest one is more than twice as big as my old one. Guess I better find some rocks! Or maybe some brass heehee.

I just caught part of an episode of To Tell The Truth, a game show where 1 of 3 people being questioned is the real person. This one was for the real Sherri Stoner (Slappy Squirrel). The episode was from 1990 or '91. I'm pleasantly pleased with myself I knew which one was the real Sherri.

It seems I am forever fated to spend one night during the week before Christmas in the bathroom due to consumption of fat/grease.

Why doesn't MeTV show the linking footage to Freeze Frame when they show Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales?? If they do I've never seen it.
December 23, 2025 at 2:04 PM
I miss the days when you could get Looney Tunes wall calendars.

So I guess Trading Places is a Christmas movie now? Just as much as Lethal Weapon is IMO.
