The biggest problem with TGA is exactly that it is a popularity contest instead of deciding which game is better

I think it depends a lot, but with some games(roguelikes, I'm looking at you) it can also help understand what you're missing without getting major spoilers.

Ok that makes more sense why this is a bigger issue. Thanks for the explanation

While I get your point, and I'm all for native apps, but also, how is this different from a driver bug from nvidia/amd?

I have my problems with the game UI/UX, but if you don't know how to use it after some hours, you simply don't know how to play a sim management game.

Epic hasn't struggled to gain market share, Epic fails at delivering a good storefront for the bigger percentage of users, which are gamers. Why would a gamer want to buy a game on Epic instead of Steam?

Amazon just failed at everything, which had nothing to do with Steam(or any other storefront)

a steam user is both a developer and a player, they both use it differently, but they're both part of steam userbase.

The first question should be "Should there be better competition to Steam?"

There's plenty of competition, just none that comes near close to Steam, especially for consumers.

Steam can't have 90% because gamers use more than one launcher.

If I use Steam and Epic, then how does my number looked on a statistic like that.
