I enjoyed both books and hope to see more from this author! I will say that the reader is sort of thrown into the world without much explanation and the focus is more on the characters/overall plot than world building. I'm a glutton for world building tho sooo maybe I'm just being a brat ahaha

Also want to say that the Starving Saints (a horror novel by the same author) is on my TBR list and I'm excited to see if I like that any better than I did this one!

Not a terrible reading experience but I don't know if I'd call it good either. Kind of exhausting? Definitely check the TWs if you ever want to give it a go! If you like Captive Prince, you might like this?
