ive always been a Black Knight defender because i love how it commits wholly into telling A Sonic Story fully dedicated to the context that the game takes place in, if that makes any sense at all? so the Excalibur awakening feels like a payoff to everything the story tries to do

black knight is my personal favorite version of the scene but but I can accept this ranking

you can tell it was written IN A minor and then just kinda rearranged to work in D, it doesn't sound bad at all but it just sounds *better* in its original key
