Ok more stuff added: A pendulum axe, a crumbly arch, ability scrolls, some arcade-y player outlines. Next, I think I want to add a hook to swing on for fun, a guillotine, and some parallaxing background stuff, but maybe that's too ambitious as things are getting pretty cluttered. Opinions? #pixelart

I'm not much of a 3d modeller but that Frieren meme reminds me of when I accidentally merge vertices together.

Okay I just added a goat demon, so now we have some good enemy variety for the mockup. I just need to figure out where I'm going to put them. Next up, I'll probably add hazards and other platforms to the level. I'm going to take a break but I'm getting excited for this artwork.

I usually play games to chill usually, but as a pixel artist I find myself studying things like this. This attack animation has a subtle but clever illusion with the sprite flip. Is the enemy slashing inward... or outward? We'll never know. Whoever animated this is a genius. #pixelart #animation

2 art techniques I think are useful. If you struggle with shading, try grayscale. Also I find the "overlay" layer blend mode in Aseprite pretty useful for adding temporary colors. I'm not sure what the actual definition for overlay is in terms of layer blending, but it's nice either way.

These ghosts were pretty scary. They would grab you and drop you off the stage to your death if you didn't button mash out fast enough.

I gave the MC some animations because part of me wants to make a fan game, but I don't know how to program or do audio and stuff so I haven't really implemented it.

This is the S&P 500 (SPY) ETF on the one minute chart on barchart.com, 1/28/2025. If you want to practice trading it, I'd say not gamble real money at first, but just observe. It doesn't always happen, but it can be useful to set up EMA curves to identify intersections where trends likely will flip.

I think I'm getting better at trading SPY. Mostly scalp trading and avoiding fake-outs. I made some new trading rules for myself because the past couple days were rough on my wallet, but these new rules helped me dodge the whole downtrend in the middle of the day and I'm up for the week!

I get people are afraid to day trade and I'm not great at perfect timing either, just low risk-high gain opportunities,
BUT completely unrelated to trading, a big part of my money growth over the year was due to Robinhood Gold's annual percentage yield. Better than just leaving in Wells Fargo!

SPY was rough today, but I ended in the green anyway! Fomo got me good at the start. The start of the day is tricky because there's no sense of overall trend direction. I should probably be more patient next time and avoid trades like that.

I was too sleepy to buy at $674.74 :( but got in after SPY closed over $676.61, sold at the $678.19 ceiling bounce, got back in at the $676.61 floor bounce, sold at the $680.00 bounce, greedily got back in at $680 and lost a few dollars at the end of the day, but overall... IM IN THE GREEN BABYYY!
