Four articles I've co-authored used to train Meta, including ironically, one on the environmental unsustainability of digital communication, one on how digital communication shapes environmental protests and one on negative transitions...

In a break from current affairs, today I made a pot. And then dropped it 😕

Always great catching up with @marchudson.bsky.social!

We're definitely better at talking CCS than taking selfies 😄

I don't support using CCS to decarbonise fossil fuels, but Monbiot is wrong to suggest geopolymeric cement alone will decarbonise cement production. Cement process emissions are ~5% of global CO2 emissions. Multiple solutions are needed, but CCS will play a major role

As one of the many thousands of people stuck at Euston last Thursday, I can confirm there was majorly overcrowding...

My colleague sent me this from her platform.

Climate change is happening now - train lines need better adaption measures to help cope with worsening weather.

Last night, there were a couple of hours when I wasn't sure I would ever make it out of Euston! But it was worth it to spend a couple of days in Brighton catching up with my Energy Demand Research Centre colleagues in person

The most important conversations aren't always (ever?) the scheduled ones

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #2,198,972!

Bit of an odd flex, but it's the first time in my life I have approached anything close to an early adopter

Increasing amount of policy talk about a UK industrial strategy - Chris McDonald MP, today, speaking at the UK Metals Expo on his hopes for the sector

Key question for me is how it will shape industrial decarbonisation

Some nice industrial architecture here too - the old Springfield Brewery, now the University of Wolverhampton Springfield campus

It's that time of year when, without warning, marrows will appear on your doorstep.

Stay vigilant .

Good to attend the #EDRC Call to Action on Energy Demand event this afternoon. Great group of speakers, some insightful discussions and this view on the way home
