Hi James, some interesting pre-budget polling from More In Common today. The public view the Winter Fuel Allownace being means tested as a worse scandal than Partygate and the Mini Budget. The majority of people also believe we're in a recession and that the Cost of Living crisis is permanent.

Most points covered by others, but also worth mentioning that the reduced US demand is being predicted to be deflationary elsewhere as goods are sold for cheaper, so fingers crossed that brings inflation down a bit

So if Corbyn had cut defence spending would you have classed that as austerity? Do you realise that all measures, including tax rises, taken to reduce deficits are austerity? Would you have preferred us go into even hogher deficits?

They have so much barren, otherwise-unproductive cheap land to become a renewables giant of Europe. Interconnectors to trade with DE, NE and UK for offshore wind is going to really accelerate things! The futures bright. -
