Seeing the miniatures in the display cabinet of the toy store in the big city. This was in the mid-80's. They used to open the blister packs and sell the miniatures individually. I bought all of the champions from the goblin command groups.

Luxor the Moonprince, one of the main protagonists, is entirely superfluous in "Doomdark's Revenge" even though his survival is one of your victory conditions. You just park him underground at the beginning of the game and then just forget about him.
