Yesterday, we were honored to attend City Club of Chicago’s West Side United lunch where founding leaders came together to discuss their $350 million commitment to closing Chicago’s 20-year life expectancy gap. ❤️ You can watch the discussion here ➡️ youtu.be/HgejA4aR_5M

Yesterday, rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of everyone who took part in the 2025 Chicago Lighthouse Rise to Shine 10K/5K/1M Run and Walk in the IMD! 🎉 🏃 Hundreds of runners and walkers showed unstoppable energy and determination — thank you to all who participated, we’ll see you again next year! 🧡

In 2022, The @mortonarboretum.bsky.social Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) partnered with the IMD to plant 30 trees during a community event. 🌳 Only July 30, we returned to the site for a re-mulching workday to care for those young trees.
