Here is my photo of Ed Force One landing at Denver.

And in the 12 hours since my last post, Ed Force One is now done. I redid all the decals, redesigned the landing gear and internal engine parts, and purchased a set of extended flaps to replicate Ed Force One as I saw it land at Denver International Airport, April 12, 2016.

Been awhile since I posted. Eddie is coming along nicely. The fuselage is done. I did all the decals myself. I felt opaque windows would look better, but for fun I added pilot/singer Bruce Dickinson in the captain's windows and the other members of Iron Maiden in some of the passenger windows.

Fuselage has been assembled and as you can see from the pink primer, seam smoothing is taking place. This thing is NOT fun to put together and part the bottom in front of the landing gear will have to be fixed with Apoxysculpt. And a pic of some painted engine parts.

The quality of the kit, however, leaves a lot to be desired. I realized the fuselage needed stabilization so I added bulkheads and a partial floor. The engine and landing gear detail sucks... so I designed and 3d printed my own.

I've been a fan of Iron Maiden since 2010. In 2016 I went out to Denver International Airport to see lead singer and pilot Bruce Dickinson land their 747 Ed Force One. I finally got around to building a model of that iconic plane.

I can't say the same for 6'8" Oliver Reidel... but he was very nice as well. They all were nice and great with us fans.
