dude that was the scariest video game moment of my childhood (and at that point I’ve already seen The Ring)

To me it would be entirely dependent on the skill of the author, game mechanics and sound design.

Slay the Princess nails all those areas imo, even though I don’t like how much time of that story is spent on inner monologue.

Я думаю це походить з Американської культури. Консерватисти (і іноді ліберали) часто кажуть «Києвський режим».

Вони це захавали частково з російської пропаганди, але частково і самі до цього прийшли. Їх бісить підтримка України, тому вони постійно намагаються дескредитувати її суверенність. Заїбало

Although it is then fun to sit and do a mental exercise of “Okay, this may look like X, but what is unique about it?” and then try to build on that.

It’s like a gravity pull. You make something and then you look back on it and realise - crap, it’s too much like X

Imo Youtube ads are so repulsive because they are turning your favourite people into drones reciting marketing pasta.

It’s even worse if youtubers try to weave it seamlessly into the video. You hear the tone of their voice switch instantly.

To me the most interesting part is how changing the dreams will affect people in reality, so I hope to put more of that into the story as we write it

Cause in life, some dreams we forget right away, but some stick with us. Sometimes for months or even years. Sometimes you can’t help but remember it
