Mom, educator, CU Regent for CD 6. Standing up for students, the truth, and a CU that works for everyone 🦬🖤💛
It was an honor to join the American Association of University Women Colorado for their Public Policy Day.

It was a delight to be part of this event addressing challenges in higher education, economic empowerment for women and key legislative areas to advance equity.

Cherie shared her story of finding the right fit for her son and it means everything to me that I can fight to make CU a safe, inclusive and welcoming.

“My son, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, chose CU Boulder as his new home, largely because of the policies that Ilana fiercely supports.”

Sko Buffs!🦬

It was a pleasure to sit down with Coach Prime over a meal to talk about the student athlete experience at CU and steps we can take to improve outcomes both on the field and off for our next generation of leaders and thinkers.

Committed to building a lasting legacy of excellence!

I'm honored to be endorsed by Congressman Jason Crow!

“Ilana Spiegel is a fearless champion for Colorado’s students and working families. As a CU Regent, Ilana has fought to expand access to higher education, defend democracy, and stand up to extremism."

I recently engaged with a great group of dedicated Dems at the JCDP Italian Feast.

Hearing from many people who are as passionate as me about protecting our public education system from extremism and saving students and their families time and money is a reminder of how important this work is.

Celebrating the Power of Women in Philanthropy!

It was great to be in attendance and recognize the work of Elyana Funk of CU Boulder Hillel.

We were also inspired by the talk Emmy Award-winning journalist Juju Chang gave about creating inclusive, courageous communities.

Over the years, I’ve engaged with the community at Heather Gardens and it has been my honor to exchange ideas, concerns and opinions with the residents here.

At my recent visit, we discussed the alarming attacks on higher ed and how together, we can protect education, research and healthcare.

Bringing Black and Gold Energy to the National Western Stock Show

It was an absolute treat to attend CU Night at the Rodeo. It's hard to pick my favorite moment--from riding in the stagecoach to watching the talented Westernaires, Mutton Bustin’ and of course, the Pro Rodeo!

What a treat to honor the CU Buffs Women’s Soccer Team accomplishments this season.

Their incredible effort on and off the field along with the staff who support them is phenomenal.

GO BUFFS!

To be present at the dedication of the Ceal Barry plaza was a remarkable moment to honor this legendary woman who contributed so much to CU Athletics and our Women's Basketball program.

I am incredibly proud to have played a part in ensuring her legacy is permanently recognized.

From Jeffco, to Denver to Aurora it was great to spend time sharing how The CU Board of Regents is focused on the directives shaped by YOU.

We’re hard at work turning your priorities into action that protect the health, safety and future for working families.

Let’s keep moving forward!

Coming Together to Plan for Colorado's Future

It was great to see and hear from partners during the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Business Legislative Preview. Together we will be working to strengthen the crucial roles that education, safety and health play in shaping our state's future.

It’s an honor to celebrate the successes of the CU Boulder Women’s volleyball team.

The success of the United States in the Olympics is built on the hard work of student athletes just like these and access to opportunity granted by thoughtful tools like Title 9.

From Aurora to Englewood, it is great to see people who know how important it is to protect public education when it is under attack.

Always great to spend time with the First Tuesday Action Group in Aurora to talk about public education as a ladder to opportunity--not a gatekeeping institution for the privileged few.

Deep gratitude to Piramides Mexican Restaurant for hosting us!

What joy to deliver and distribute toys at the Dayton Street Opportunity Center (bit.ly/4940nCb).

This remarkable organization works to improve the lives of children, youth and families in Aurora and it was my delight to participate in this program to bring families holiday joy!

In times of darkness, find the light. This year's Hanukkah celebration was a reminder of the importance of community, family, and tradition. As the holiday season continues, wishing my friends a merry Christmas tomorrow as well!

Winter Commencement for our graduating UCCS Mountain Lions!

Each and every student has a story. As they walk across the stage and pass from this moment and into what comes next, celebrating their accomplishments and aspirations is my distinct honor.

Congrats to our newest CU alums!

When you think you’re done, you’ve only just begun! Congratulations to all the CU Denver and CU Anschutz Medical Campus Winter 2025 graduates. Your story is only just beginning!

I am feeling the same fear and sadness as so many of you regarding the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Australia and campus killings at Brown University. We will show that our light endures their darkness. That our love is unyielding against their hate. That together we will beat back these evils

It was an honor to join and represent the University of Colorado at the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado awards ceremony. We got to see folks from all backgrounds and experiences illustrate their impact in Colorado's Latino community over the past year and the progress they've made.

It was great to see both the women and men’s UCCS Mountain Lions basketball teams play at the Gallogly Events Center.

There are so many reasons to be proud of our UCCS Mountain Lions: from the court to the classroom, and even in the community, our student athletes lead!
