Was happy to finally grab a copy of this - it had been out of stock most places near me and I hadn't been in a state to remember to look for it, but it ended up being in an indie geek store down in Virginia Beach.

I have a lot of feelings about turning 35 today.
Didn't hit the gym last night. Knees feel weird, probs from overdoing leg presses. Going in a few hours. In the meantime I've been making as much grab and go stuff as I can - tonight it's peas & shells in butter w/ curry powder and a light beverage. Gonna hard boil some eggs, I think. Needs protein.

Re: the setting - I think this is the funniest piece of writing in the whole book. It's just so matter of fact about how painfully boring your hometown is it fully took me out.

I've gotten to the point in my life where if I'm going to even bother with a dating app I've just gotta let folks exactly what they're getting into up front. Small talk is for suckers. Honestly it's been a year of figuring out how to be authentically me all around, might as well be on this too. 😅

A blast from the past: this would be me roughly circa...2006-2009? I know it wasn't 2005 because they let me play my preferred instrument (the euphonium) that year even though my piddly little arms couldn't hold that horn up for more than our halftime show - holiday parades were BRUTAL.

OBJ4: The Slayers d20. No, not the Gila RPGs Slayers, I'm talking about the Lina Inverse joint. It's a d20 system which means it's broadly compatible with 3.X D&D which I swore I would never return to - but maybe, just once, I could make an exception. Cool piece of history anyway. Same $ as above.
