To my dismay, starlings have beaten the woodpeckers to the suet cages. This one was wiped out in under an hour!
Starlings...looking like they're wearing pinstriped suits, we nickname them The Mafia when they patrol the garden in large flocks. No wonder I haven't seen my woodpeckers or bluejays
