If you're a hockey fan, a true hockey fan, you've had this exact same fantasy. What hockey fan hasn't also fantasized about blowing a ref's whistle from the stands?

It's the same with classic rock radio. "Oh the music back then was so good!" Well radio and streaming services aren't going to play the crappy songs from that era. Or any other.

I think he's more play maker than goal scorer. He puts so many pucks in scoring lanes. I think he often surprises his teammates because I see they're not ready for it half the time. When he has the puck under control, sticks on the ice!

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against celebrations for accomplishments but when half a dozen players run to the end zone for a group dance because a defender knocked down a ball 10 yards out, I just think that's excessive. Not every microscopic win needs a group kumbaya.

My opinion only. It's not worth penalizing but the celebrations in the NFL have become ridiculous. They celebrate the tiniest accomplishments like a first down as if they'd just scored in the SB.

We used to play street hockey under the street lights until 9 or 10. Played kick the can until 8 or 9. I used to work in a night club and on clear nights go cross country skiing at 2 AM.

That game was definitely not a keeper. I give them a little leeway due to fatigue. But I'm liking the 2026 Slafkovsky. Once Demi realizes he can use his skill to also put himself in a great spot for a scoring chance and not just create them, he'll get more passes from Slaf. Kap was robbed today.

That album was my introduction to Buddy Miles and he became an inspiration and model to me. 37 years later in San Diego I got the chance to share the stage with him. It was a dream come true.

It's good to see Slaf finding himself. I like the Slaf-Ollie-Demi line. I'd like to see MSL give them a little more time together. They're starting to make really good plays. As Monty gets settled, so too will the defense on front of him. Good article Brian.

The word on the street now for every other team is: Shoot the puck at the net! Just shoot! Don't worry about setting up. Just shoot because there's a good chance 1 in 5 or 6 will go in.

There should never ever ever be a former CEO or business leader in the White House. They are, by their very nature, dictators and intolerant of confrontation.

Yes. Every team experiences ups and downs. And injuries to teammates cause more than disruptions to line configurations and strategies. They get in your head and it's disruptive to your own game. The whole team is feeling that.

Agreed. Good to see Hutson shooting more. He creates seams not just for passes but for shooting lanes too. And I like what we got from Slaf last night. Davidson was a nice add. I hope he can play like that every game. Jury's out on Dach between Kap and Demi.

Over-passing plagued more than just the PP last night. But they showed grit and were hungry for the puck so it's a step in the right direction. It's also good to see Hutson shooting more.
