I agree with you that the added mass of the power-drawing hardware and the necessary heat sinks make this impossible. Recent articles such as www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... suggest that 120W/kg for the solar modules themselves is within reach.

I agree with you that the added mass of the power-drawing hardware and the necessary heat sinks make this impossible. Recent articles such as www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... suggest that 120W/kg for the solar modules themselves is within reach.
10% by weight? then you've got 10,000mg in a 100ml of it. For 5mg you need 1/2000 of your total. 100ml/2000 = 0.05ml or 0.05mg of the solution. Someone else should confirm my math.
