Yes, clearance paperwork is an NDA in the legal sense, and the same applies to both military and civilian personnel. My post was just a lighthearted joke; I just meant that having a totally separate NDA on top of that seems a bit excessive and weird. :)

I served in the military for over 24 years. It's wild that we didn't have any kind of non-NDA classification system during that time. How did we manage to function?
