TTRPG enthusiast of little consequence.
As the first like was from @tabcreations.com I think it only right that my first game is their excellent Age of Ambition. It's a fantasy game, but set a little later than most; think Warhammer, but hopeful rather than grimdark.

I never miss an opportunity to talk about Lace & Steel 😆

I've just finished Godkiller by Hannah Kaner. I almost didn't start it - I borrowed it from the library on the strength of the amazing cover art, but only had a couple of days before it had to go back. I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely brilliant!

Next up is Shiver, by @parablegames.bsky.social. There are a lot of things to love about Shiver: the dice pool system is fun (dice pools always are); it does some clever things with skills; and the doom clock is a great way of driving up tension. Running it really feels like being in a horror movie!

I'm having a blast running Nights Black Agents: Solo Ops by @pelgranepress.bsky.social. The adventures in the book are so well presented that I got halfway through the second one before realising that I hadn't actually read all the rules yet 😆

Bluebeard's Bride is a genuine work of art, beautiful in its production and with a powerful message. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to run it, but I'm certainly glad I own it.

Next up is my current favourite, Cypher System by @montecookgames.com. A simple system, but one with loads of options for players, and enough mechanical dials to turn that adjudicating even the wildest PC actions is easy. Of all the games I've played, this comes closest to "no prep" for me.

Cyberpunk 2020, by @rtalsoriangames.bsky.social, was my second great love. RED is brilliant, but 2020 gets the picture because I've probably spent more time playing it than any other TTRPG. And I'm sure I've spent actual MONTHS of my life making characters with the lifepath system just for fun 😆

Game #1 is Lace & Steel by Pauli Kidd. I LOVE this game, it changed the way I run TTRPGs. And the card-based combat/sorcery/repartee mechanic was a huge amount of fun. One of my pipe dreams is to get a (very crude) VTT implementation of it working so I can play it with my current groups.

Post a PERFECT album from the ‘90s that isn't Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden or Alice In Chains.

It's still doing it. I get about 3 seconds of the Backerkit page, then I'm redirected.
