People exploiting Prufrock grievances are dragging us all to the ending of Hollow Men.
Canadian in Canada.
Excuse the long tangent - all to say that LPG vs crude transport differ in terms of immediate risks, long-term risks, and potential affected area size.

In the end the people who live/work there have to decide on what they're willing to tolerate.

The area affected by long-lived compounds will of course depend on ocean currents and wildlife migration (for bioaccumulation). So, excluding an area from a route doesn't necessarily protect it from consequences.

failure could also result in fire/explosion, short-mid term exclusion of air from coated surfaces. Compared to LPG, the larger complex structures in crude oil can be more difficult to biodegrade. Biodegradation is slower at colder environmental temperature.

evaporate can be easily degraded by microbes. So the expected long-term effect & potential bioaccumulation is rather small.
Crude oil on the other hand is a mixture of larger hydrocarbons, including polyaromatics. The exact composition depends on source & processing. A catastrophic

compounds, which can evaporate. A catastrophic failure might lead to explosion, suffocation (dependent on prevailing winds?). If there's some kind of leak/release into the environment, the LPG can evaporate. Because of its composition, stuff that don't

the same length as a low-mid Refined/crude oil tanker (Panamax, Aframax at 200-250m; Suezmax at 275m). I don't know what size LPG tankers are being used at the port.

Of course the risks and hazards of LPG vs crude oil transport & failure also differ.
LPG is a mixture of smaller non-aromatic

It's good to get clarification on the potential route.

The article mentions LPG transport and the need to consider the economics of tanker size.
That's definitely important because it seems that the largest LPG tanker (VLGC, 230-250m long) is abt

And if AI adoption leads to job losses, then how many can afford, or would even want a subscription? It's marketed as a productivity aid. How will it make someone who's unemployed be more "productive"?
It seems to me that AI is planting the seeds of its own demise.

So the model:
"user numbers on an S-curve that by 2030 reaches 3bn, “equivalent to 44 per cent of the world’s adult population” ex China."

3bn paid subscribers, how realistic is that? I think Microsoft 365 - a ubiquitous software only has 350M subscribers.

The UCP's definition of "leftist" is anyone who's against their agenda.
I hope you're right - in that something has shifted in Alberta. That their constituents have had enough of UCP's vandalism.

I bet the only reason the US toned down their threats to Ukraine was because someone reminded the US administration of the multi-billion dollar losses in defense contracts.

It's just another reminder that the US is no longer trustworthy. These insider "deals" translate to loss of lives.

These insider-type deals is a manifestation of the Epstein mindset.
They give each other tips on how to manipulate their targets. They make secret arrangements on the side to benefit themselves & their friends. Here it's clear that the US administration considers Putin their friend.

It's why I tend to pay attention to Elizabeth May, even if I don't vote Green. To me, it seems like she doesn't place politics above the common good. She doesn't seem to get rattled by rumours. She doesn't let the CPC or anyone else push her buttons.

to gain seats. So no one countered the misinformation & constant hysteria. Those messages were so loud & unrelenting, the bill became toxic & had to be dropped. A huge disappointment.
We're living with the consequences of these political games.

I don't know if it's always to protect wealthy people.
Example:
During the Capital Gains tax debate there was messaging that it was anti-labor, that it would hurt primary care doctor recruitment.
It was unfortunate that at the same time, the NDP thought they could take advantage of Liberal weakness

If I were Dale Nally, I'd be worried.
It appears that Nally's behaviour was objectionable enough that someone who was previously apolitical has now initiated a petition.
That's a huge change in engagement level.

Unfortunately, if the economic realignment fails because of sabotage, then ideals like environmentalism will be the last thing on people's minds.

I agree. Ideally, I'd appreciate straightforwardness & candor.
But, the rigamarole seems necessary because of the times we live in & the behaviour of Conservative leadership.
We have to work within the circumstances as they are, not as we wish them to be.

Oh... Richard shouldn't feel bad.
I feel the same way, man.

3) Smith's won the leadership through support from right-wing/convoy-type/separatist activists. Her policies support the grievances of these activists.
Why is that flavour of activism ok, but "activists" criticizing her government villified?

2) If using the NWC wasn't taken lightly, then the gov shouldn't have forced it through in a day. They could've legislated return to work & kept negotiations open. They could've consulted the trans community. Instead, they stifled debate.
They only claim to take it seriously bec people are unhappy.

1) Why does the MLA think policy disagreement isn't a basis for a recall?
If constituents strongly disagree with government policies, then the policies don't represent the constituents. And if the MLA still pushes these policies, then the MLA might not be representative of the people.
