I've looked up a bunch of DIY repair videos so I get lots of construction equipment ads. The serious tractor stuff, not a $5 heat sensor to fix the dryer.

Seen it in 70mm. Every detail, every surface, every effect is so meticulously flawless. Couldn't help but notice the particle board sets, ordinary office furniture and other mere mortal failings in 2010 (which I love) in 4K.

There's a nearby strip mall with a UPS store I use occasionally and I have no idea what else is in that mall because I don't care to walk across a fing parking lot and none of the signage is visible or legible from the car. After 10 yrs in Chicago I just don't know why anyone wants to do this.

The hype was even greater than AI (or crypto or NFTs) mostly because each generation of tech was so obviously useful. It was the optimism that missed me.

I was one of those people and then I lived in a Vietnamese neighborhood in northern CA. It was super crazy cheap, so I ate Vietnamese almost daily. I not only got over the taste, I crave it now.

My understanding is that Carter was (hopelessly) trending in this direction but the Clintons made it their whole deal. New Democrats and all.
