After the new CEO "Mod North" took over one of his first actions was to cancel the nearly ready to go pride update out of fear of "backlash"
Some devs offered to finish working on it at home unpaid but they couldn't.

Community's been downhill since then, not that it was ever that good to begin with

Any group of runescape players I found always devolved into the worst bigoted arguments. I had to play with public chat off for my own sanity

I just want to fish or mine without hearing a mind numbing rant on race/gender between users named things like JizzFarts & SuckMacaque

Worst part is nobody covers it, CEO never brings it up, & none of the big creators address it.

nobody stands up for people like me in that community so why should I stay & give them any money?

I did have a confidence boost toward this when my averages were 60+ earlier this year but the morale hit of seeing it drop & stressing over what I was "doing wrong" has made me realise it's not worth chasing
