Also worth noting that most anime, like Jaadugar, are adaptations of other Japanese media, so they already have an established visual framework to follow to some degree, and those original works themselves are of course also part of the same artistic lineage.

Within that shared visual language, there's still enormous room for variation, experimentation, and strong individual voices. A recognizable style isn't the same thing as "quantity over quality", it's simply a medium having its own visual grammar, much like Western animation or European comics.

I think this is a fairly narrow way of looking at it. Anime tends to look the way it does not because creators are chasing formulas, but because it comes out of a shared cultural and artistic lineage. The creators grow up immersed in the same design traditions, so stylistic overlap is inevitable.
