I’m a caregiver for my mom with Alzheimer’s. She once said to my stepdad, as he was getting grumpy, “If we were monkeys, I’d be flinging crap at you.” He burst out laughing, she often had good ways of diffusing him. A must when one lives with a tyrant.
Baby Sandhill cranes were out with their folks today. I wanted to share a glimpse of something beautiful today, as I think we could all use it.

I caught the sunrise and sunset today. Soaking in a few moments of being here, instead of just trying to be prepared and calm, are nice. #Caregiving can be wild in the best and worst ways.

I never stop to have coffee, let alone a mocha, but it made for a fun holiday errands/prep day with mom. Our barista was quite the artist, which made it all the more festive ❤️
